With a background in Engineering and the Air Force, Dr. Shores is not a typical psychiatrist. Having begun his official work in the psychiatric arena later than many of his peers, he has nevertheless excelled in his professional performance. Dr. Shores attended Medical School at the University of Missouri, and then completed Residency at the University of Cincinnati, a Pediatric Internship at the University of Utah, and a Pediatric Fellowship at the University of Colorado Denver. Dr. Shores believes in developing the talents of potential and new physicians, and has provided extensive training and mentorship to Medical Students, Residents, and Nurse Practitioners. Serving the VA for several years completing psychiatric evaluations for WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veterans, Dr. Shores has an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by our American Service-members and their families. Dr. Shores has been with Cedar Springs Hospital since 2000.
Dr. Gray joined the Cedar Springs Hospital team in 2011. Dr. Gray attended Medical School at University of Arkansas Medical Sciences. Having completed his Residency and Child Fellowship there as well, Dr. Gray also completed a Forensic Fellowship. He then served that facility, providing services to the general population as well as specialty care to Developmentally Delayed and Mentally Retarded Youth. Being one of the very few Pediatric and Forensic Psychiatrists in the field, Dr. Gray is called upon frequently to testify on the behalf of the best interest of his patients, and was a Forensic Examiner for the State Hospital of Arkansas before moving to Colorado to join the Medical Staff at Cedar Springs.
