VISITORS: Visits and phone calls can be a beneficial and comforting part of Cedar Springs Hospital patients’ treatment. As in any healthcare treatment facility, there are guidelines designed to provide a safe and supportive environment. Please keep in mind that visitors may be asked to leave the facility if their visit, attire or conduct is determined to be non-therapeutic to the patient(s) or causes disruption to the normal milieu setting.
When authorized to visit a patient you will receive a passcode that is required when having contact with the patient (phone calls, messages, visits, meetings, etc.). Without the release and passcode, you will not be allowed into any patient areas.
Please sign in at the main lobby upon arrival. After providing the patients passcode, you will be issued a badge allowing you access to the patient care unit. You will need to sign in and receive a new badge each time you visit. Please be prepared to show a picture ID upon signing in.
Purses, backpacks, cameras, camera phones, personal items, etc. are never allowed on the patient units. Please leave these items at home, locked in your vehicle, or request a locker and key (driver’s license required) from the receptionist upon your arrival.
PHONE CALLS: Patients must give parents, family members, and friends a passcode to use when calling or leaving messages. Without this code, the call will not go through or the message will not be delivered.
Please be aware that there are times when patients may be unavailable to make or receive calls due to appointments and activities. You can always leave a message that will be delivered to the patient when they become available.
