Partial Hospitalization Program: For Adults

The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Cedar Springs Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO, serves as an alternative to and/or transition from inpatient care. This specially designed level of care is provided Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (lunch is included) for adults 18 years of age or older. PHP offers patients the intensity of therapy and intervention available to inpatients, but the convenience of remaining at home during evenings and weekends. The goal of the PHP is to prevent the worsening of psychiatric symptoms and to assist the person to be able to return to full participation in the community.

Each patient has a treatment team that develops, in consultation with the patient, a plan of care that outlines the treatment goals and activities based on identified needs of the individual patient.

Admissions and Referral Services

Everything starts with our secured admissions and referral department, which is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by highly skilled Master’s level clinicians and RNs specially trained to assess individuals with a variety of behavioral health issues. We provide timely emergent psychiatric evaluations for patients in crisis. We also accept direct referrals.

Our PHP accepts coverage by most commercial insurance carriers.
